Guidelines for Recital Programs

  1. Total time per studio is 20 minutes. Remember, this is not a personal program for one teacherIf there is more time, then, more students can enter, by order of priority. Studios who can enter more, may be scheduled in adjacent recital. The decisions of the program director are final.
  2. Please email David Ross at dapiano@comcast.net with the following information:
    • Student’s name
    • Student’s email
    • Student’s age
    • Teacher’s name
    • Teacher’s email
    • Complete title and composer name
    • Keys, Opus #, BWV, Hob., K., L. # if any–title of movements, collection name
    • The exact length of time of performance: do not round up.
    • Level of difficulty of the music according to the MTAC CM syllabus, not the level of the student’s CM ability
  3. All students should stay for the whole recital in which they perform.
  4. Students should dress appropriately. No tennis shoes, flip flops, t-shirts, or jeans..
  5. The fee is $20.00 per student. All fees are nonrefundable.
  6. Expect to help out at the recitals in which your students perform.
  7. Be sure information is submitted at least two weeks ahead of the recital

Performance Guidelines

  1. Limit one movement of a major sonata or concerto.
  2. Limit up to 2 movements of a suite, but 5 minutes total.
  3. For 2 performers who also have a duet, 10 minutes total for all their performances.
  4. All music must be memorized, duets optional.
